Chandigarh Literary Society organises event ‘Rimjhim Saawan’

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Literary Society (CLS) organized a poetry recitation session titled "Rimjhim Saawan" at Haryana Panchayat Bhawan. This intellectually enriching event was presided over by Dr.Sumita Mishra, the Chairperson of CLS.

 

"The serene beauty of monsoons transforms our surroundings into a canvas of vivid hues and soothing rhythms, presenting nature’s own form of poetry. As the rains of saawan nurtures the earth, it offers a profound source of inspiration for poets and writers. We’re thrilled to organise an event that gathers several accomplished writers from the Tricity to showcase their original works, inspired by the season’s elegance, turning the ephemeral beauty of rain into enduring literary art" said Dr. Sumita Misra.


The evening featured memorable recitations by distinguished authors including Dr. Sonika Sethi, Dr. Sunaina Jain, Dr. Deviyani Singh, Affan Yesvi, Dr. Manjeet Kaur, Shally Vij, Neelam Narang, Dr. Nirmal Sood, Rajinder Sarao, Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Romika Wadhera, Dr. Sunet Madaan, Dheerja Sharma, Staffy Bhateja, Prof. Gurdeep Gul Dheer, Mehak Varun, Parminder Soni, Arpana Gupta, Harpreet Kaur, and Rekha Verma. The event’s proceedings were conducted by Rekha Mittal and Anurani Sharma, who also presented their poetry. The event embraced linguistic diversity, with participants presenting in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu creating a harmonious convergence of languages. Their evocative compositions on the theme of "Rimjhim Sawan" were met with widespread acclaim.
