Panchkula: Today, the third Panchkula Book Fair was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Haryana Naib Singh Saini at the Indradhanush Auditorium Complex, Sector-5 Panchkula. Participating as the chief guest on this occasion, Honorable Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that “Gyan Ganga” has been flowed with the inauguration of the book fair.
Panchkula Book Fair will become a confluence of spirituality, thought and literature. He said that the Urja Sanskriti Samiti has established a new work culture by bringing eight departments on one platform, the youth will benefit by getting books in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Sanskrit languages on one platform.
Organizing a book fair is a very positive work, due to which the youth of our Panchkula will become a better citizen by reading the books of their great ancestors. He said that the library being built by the Electricity Department under CSR is a commendable step which will set an ideal example for other states. On this occasion, MDU HBVN, Dr. Saket Kumar threw light on the library scheme and got three libraries inaugurated online by the hands of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini.
Presenting the introduction on this occasion, Chairman of State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, PK Das ji said that the construction of the library will open the door of new knowledge for the youth. He said that the Electricity Department has launched a campaign to enlighten the light of knowledge among youth and the younger generation through activities like library construction, book fair, discussions, and workshops.
On this occasion, former Legislative Assembly Speaker Haryana Shri Gyan Chandra Gupta appealed to the people of Panchkula that more and more people should participate in the book fair and take advantage of it. He said that last year fifty thousand people had participated. We are confident that this year this number will definitely increase.
In the successful organization of the book fair, the officials and employees of a total of eight departments including Director Technical of Electricity Department Manoj Kumar Vats, SE Yogesh Gupta, UHBVN Director Finance Amit Gupta, Chandan Singh, Chief Operation, HPGCL XEN Pawan Bains, Sukhchain Singh Project Officer from NRE along with XEN Kailash from Haryana Urban Development Authority played a major role.
On this occasion, along with the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana, former Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta, Shakti Sharma MLA Kalka, Deepak Sharma BJP leader, Smt. Banto Devi, Smt. Ranjita Mehta, Police Commissioner Panchkula Rakesh Kumar Arya, Director General Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Raj Narayan Kaushik, Director General NRES Narayanan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Panchkula Himadri Kaushik, Superintendent of Police CID Ajit Singh Shekhawat were specially present on the main stage.
On this occasion, all the guests seated on the stage of the third Panchkula Book Fair were jointly felicitated by SEIAA President P.K. Das and Additional Chief Secretary, Energy AK Singh.
Senior BJP leader Om Prakash Dhankar inaugurated the painting workshop.
Artists from Haryana and the surrounding states have participated in the workshop organized under the direction of Art and Culture Affairs Officer Renu Hooda. This workshop will be held from 4 to 10 November. 20 international and national level artists and various artists from Supwa Rohtak University, MDU Rohtak and Higher Education Department Haryana are participating in this workshop. This group of 41 artists will not only introduce their art for seven days but will also make the students aware of the nuances of art.
Cultural program organized by Art and Cultural Affairs Department and School Education Department
On the occasion of inauguration of the book fair, Haryanvi costume ramp walk and Haryanvi folk dance were presented by the Art and Cultural Affairs Department. Apart from this, Saraswati Vandana, Haryanvi group dance, solo dance, Giddha were presented by the School Education Department.
It is known that the third Panchkula Book Fair is being organized in joint coordination with departments like Electricity Department, Police Department, Renewable Energy Department, HSVP, Education Department, Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Municipal Corporation.
Tomorrow, on 5th November, a seminar on the subject of interrelationship of Indian languages will be organized on the stage of the book fair in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi, Government of India. Also, a musical performance by a cultural group from Odisha will be organized.
