Nawanshahr: Dr. Mehtab Singh, SSP, while addressing the media said that the district police solved the blind murder case within 24 hours, arrested two accused, and recovered the weapons (two Datars) and a Swift car used in the crime.
He further added that Aje Rai s/o Teetee Rai alias Satobi r/o Sahila Baijnath, Sahila Rampur Patti, Muzaffarpur, Bihar currently residing at village Sobhuval PS Kathgarh, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, informed that during the intervening night of 26/27.09.2024, at around 12:30 AM, two unidentified assailants arrived in a white car and assaulted Ramesh Kumar alias Bhalwan son of Sudagar Ram, currently residing at tubewell at village Sobhuval and killed him.
The said assailants fled away from the scene in their car. In this regard, FIR No. 102 dated 27.09.2024 U/S 103, 3(5) BNS registered at PS Kathgarh and an investigation was initiated.
Considering the sensitivity of the crime, teams were formed under the direct supervision of Dr. Mukesh Kumar, PPS, SP (Investigation), and Sham Sunder, PPS, DSP Sub-Division Balachaur which was led by Inspector in Ranjit Singh SHO PS Kathgarh, and Inspector Avtar Singh, In-Charge CIA, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to trace the case and arrest the accused.
During the investigation, based on secret and credible inputs the two suspects namely Sandeep Kumar, s/o Roop Lal and Goldy s/o Rampal both residents of village Sobhuval, PS Kathgarh were apprehended at a high-tech Naka Asron in a Swift Dzire car bearing number CH 01 AC 3260 and two Datar used in the crime were recovered from them.
During preliminary interrogation the said accused Sandeep Kumar and Goldy confessed that they killed the deceased Ramesh Kumar @ Bhalwaan.
From the preliminary interrogation of said accused it has been revealed that the deceased Ramesh Kumar @ Bhalwan insulted the mother of accused Sandeep Kumar a few days earlier.
In order to take revenge of the same, Sandeep Kumar made a conspiracy with Goldy and murdered the deceased Ramesh Kumar @ Bhalwaan.
