K'shetra varsity Incubation Centre celebrates World Entrepreneurs Day 2024

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University Technology Incubation Centre KUTIC running under KU Rusa Project Society celebrated World Entrepreneurs Day in the Senate Hall on Wednesday. The Chief Guest of this programme,Vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said that the celebration aimed to encourage individuals to explore the entrepreneurial potential and take steps to turn their business ideas into reality.

Prof Sachdeva further said that India ranks third in the world as a startup hub with over 90,000 startups and 110 unicorn companies. Prof Sachdeva further added that the government has launched initiatives and schemes to support aspiring entrepreneurs. Fun2Do Labs Founder,Mr Sourabh Jain, the keynote speaker emphasized the need for entrepreneurship to create more jobs for a growing economy, to foster innovation and creativity, to empower and make people self-reliant, to ensure economic growth and development, to encourage social responsibility, to adapt to work conditions, to build global mindset, and to promote inclusive growth.


Nodal Officer RUSA, Prof Pardeep Kumar said that for students in India, embracing entrepreneurship can be transformative, not only on a personal level but also for the broader society and economy, because India has largest youth population.

KUTIC Coordinator Prof. Anurekha Sharma said that under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva, innovation and entrepreneurship has been promoted among the youth by the Incubation Center of KU. On this occasion, Prof. Anil Vohra, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Prof. Anurekha Sharma, Prof. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Ankeshwar Prakash, Dr. Somveer Jakhar, Dr. Ruchi Gupta, Dr. Ashwini Mittal, Dr. Rajan Sharma, Dr. Mohinder Singh, Dr. Rita, Dr. Sunil Dhul, Dr. Ajay Jangda, Dr. OP Thakur, Dr. Jaswinder Singh along with teachers and students were present.
