Kurukshetra: Former Chairman, ISRO and eminent scientist Dr. Somanath S visited KU Dharohar Haryana Museum and said that Kurukshetra University's Dharohar Haryana Museum refreshed his memories of village and childhood. Dr Somanath said that the civilization and culture of any state is its special identity and KU Dharohar Haryana Museum is doing a unique work of connecting the youth with its ancient Haryanvi culture and folk tradition. Kurukshetra University's exemplary contribution in preserving the folk tradition and culture of its state Haryana is commendable. On this occasion, scientist Dr. Somanath was honoured by KU Dharohar with a memento.
On this occasion, on behalf of KU Dharohar, the scientist Dr. Somnath S was welcomed by making him wear a Haryanvi turban, a symbol of folk tradition and Haryanvi culture. Dean of Sciences, Prof. Sanjeev Arora, Director of Public Relations Department Prof. Maha Singh Poonia, Deputy Director Dr Jimmy Sharma and Dharohar's curator Dr. Kuldeep Arya were present.
