Fatehabad ): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has accused the Congress party of disrespecting Dalit leaders and dubbed it as an "anti-Dalit" party. While addressing an election rally in Haryana's Fatehabad, Shah alleged that Congress denied job reservation to people and also targeted the party for Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks on reservation while in the US.
"Congress is an anti-Dalit party. During the Congress rule, the Gohana incident took place in 2005 and the Mirchpur incident took place in 2010. Congress has always disrespected Dalit leaders, be it Dr Ashok Tanwar or Kumari Selja. Dr BR Ambedkar wasn't given Bharat Ratna till Congress was in power. BJP has established Panchtirtha to respect BR Ambedkar and declared Samvidhan Diwas," Shah said.
"Just now Rahul Gandhi has said in America that 'After development there is no need for reservation, after development we will remove reservation.' I want to tell you that only Narendra Modi ji can protect the reservation of SC, ST and OBC," Shah said.
Shah reiterated the central government's stance on Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and said, "Rahul Gandhi along with National Conference in Kashmir says that we will bring back Article 370 and will release all the terrorists. I want to tell them that Rahul Baba, not just you, even if your third generation comes, Article 370 will not come back. This has now become history."
"During your grandfather's time, Article 370 had put a question mark on Kashmir. Narendra Modi ji has done the work of removing that question mark, now it cannot come back," he added.
Shah highlighted the BJP governance in Haryana and criticised the previous Congress rule. "Our Haryana is the best example of how BJP rules. Earlier, governments of two parties used to come and go in Haryana. When one party came to power, corruption increased and when another party came to power, hooliganism increased. In both, nepotism and casteism were at their peak. For the first time, BJP has formed the government in entire Haryana," he said.
"Before the BJP government came to power, one could not get a job here without an expenditure slip. But BJP has recruited thousands of youth with complete transparency without any expenditure or slip," Shah added.
"Congress governments were there - to make happy Delhi's son-in-law, farmers' land was allotted at very cheap rates. In Hooda Sahab's govt, dealers have much say, the son-in-law has a say and the corrupts have a say. BJP has ended the govt of the dealer and son-in-law. Hooda Sahab has promised to give 2 lakhs jobs, it's in the manifesto of Congress, I want to ask the leaders of Congress party -'ye 2 lakh naukariyan kisko doge, jo yuva yogya hai usko doge ya jo aapko kharchi data, jiske paas aapki parchi hai usko doge?'" Shah said.
Shah accused Rahul Gandhi of "misguiding" youth regarding the Agniveer scheme.
"About Agniveer, Rahul Baba is misguiding the youths. I am firm in what I say, and today I am saying that none of the Agniveer of Haryana will be left. Indian government and Haryana government will provide them with a job having pension facility. Middlemen in Delhi are waiting for Congress to come into power in Haryana, I want to ask the people of Tohana, would you want to give Harayan in the hands of middlemen?" Shah said. Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5. Votes will be counted on October 8 along with that in Jammu and Kashmir.
