Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Deepak Bali stated that Lawrence Bishnoi is orchestrating such attacks in Punjab, including the one on BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia's house. Deepak Bali met Manoranjan Kalia at his residence in Jalandhar, inquired about his well-being, and discussed the incident.
He said that while the police are doing their job and investigating the matter from all angles, the truth is that these activities in Punjab are being carried out by Lawrence Bishnoi in collaboration with Pakistan, with protection from the BJP-led central government.
Bali alleged that Lawrence Bishnoi is being provided complete security and facilities by the BJP government in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail. This is no secret. Furthermore, Bishnoi has links with individuals in Pakistan. Recently, a video call between him and Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti went viral. Bhatti had claimed responsibility for a recent grenade attack in Punjab.
Deepak Bali remarked that some mischievous elements cannot tolerate the development, peace, and harmony in Punjab, which is why such incidents are being carried out.
The AAP leader emphasized that Manoranjan Kalia is a prominent leader of Jalandhar city. He added that the government is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, and all culprits will be apprehended soon.
Bali further stated that some anti-Punjab forces are trying to create religious tensions, aiming to pit one religion against another. However, they will not succeed. He assured that the AAP government in Punjab is committed to ensuring the safety of everyone, regardless of their stature. He stressed that there will be no compromise on security matters.
